I never heard the named Turban squash in the Philippines. In our farm there we had buttercup squash only and I liked the taste because its so sweet and creamy orange flesh. I never eat those before so tomorrow I'm gonna cook it to see what's the taste differences from buttercup squash. It's very weird shaped as you can see on the photo huh hehe!
Anyway, based on the meaning, this squash has a gorgeous rind, but ho-hum flavor. It makes a good centerpiece, or you can hollow it out and use it as a spectacular soup tureen. Hmm..i'll see tomorrow if i'll like the taste lol!
